Peach, Vanilla, Honeybush Iced Tea

Peach Vanilla Honeybush Iced Tea

A great-tasting, healthy energy tea recipe. Keep a pitcher of the base in your refrigerator and mix 16 oz. with a packet of your favorite Älsa flavor just before serving. It’s a delicious way to enjoy your daily Älsa!


Prep Time: 35 minutes

Serves: 2-4 (Makes about 32 oz)



For the peach syrup:

  • 2 ripe peaches, pits removed and thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup/ 60ml honey
  • ½ cup/ 4oz filtered water
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract


For the iced tea:

  • 3 ½ cups/28oz filtered water (divided use)
  • 4 bags of Honeybush tea*
  • 2 Alsa packets of your choice



To make the peach syrup:

Bring the peaches, honey, and water to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 3 minutes.

Remove pan from heat, add vanilla extract and steep, covered, for at least 20 minutes.

Strain syrup through a fine mesh strainer, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible, and refrigerate until cold.


To make the iced tea:

Bring half of the water just to a boil and add tea bags. Let steep for 15 minutes, and remove tea bags. Let cool to room temperature then add the remaining cold water. Stir the peach syrup and tea together in a pitcher, and refrigerate until chilled.

When ready to serve, add 1 Älsa packet of your choice into 2 cups/16 oz of the iced tea and stir until dissolved. Pour over ice and serve.

*A South African herbal tea, similar to rooibos but slightly sweeter.
